Dakota Building

 

If you grew up influenced by the Beatles, there's a good chance that you are aware that John Lennon was shot and killed in New York. This was the place where this tragic event happened. Yoko Ono subsequently paid for a peaceful garden area of Central Park just opposite the building, which was called "Strawberry Fields" inset with a large circular mosaic entitled "Imagine."
