Ponte De Normandie

 

Not part of the landing beaches - but anyone visiting from a Calais landing point would be well advised to cross over this highly impressive structure en route. Apparently it enjoyed a short period as the longest suspension bridge in the world.

 

I'm a great believer on the beauty of man made creations - and beauty in engineering - and this bridge has it in bagfuls!! Stunning and wonderful!!
